Culture Trip asked me to create the banner illustration to accompany the article How Thailand's Full Moon Parties Became an International Phenomenon.
The brief asked me to create a Thai beach party scene, but less ‘drunk neonparty’ and ‘traditional’ with elements such as fire dancing and the full moon. Of course, for it to be a full moon party there still needed to be people having a good time, dancing, drinking without it looking too wild. The people within the scene had to look respectful, and there had to be diversity amongst the party goers.
